Aimee Plesa

Copy Editor, Copywriter, Developmental Editor

Specializing in blogging and web content

My name is Aimee Plesa and I am a single mother, chef, free-lance writer and virtual assistant. I have worked as a professional chef since 2010 and a professional writer since 2007 even though I have been pursuing both vocations for much, much longer. I chose to pursue a career in virtual assisting after my chef position was furloughed temporarily due to the recent coronavirus outbreak.

I began my online writing career as a mommy blogger for a nationwide mom blog by providing them with recipes, cooking tips and product reviews. I quickly branched out and began writing my first food blog. The following year, I applied for a writing position with the Dayton edition of Examiner.com and became the Dayton Food Examiner. By the time Examiner decided to shutter its website, I was writing a wide range of topics in both the Dayton and Cincinnati markets as well as on a national level, including food, holidays, green living, movies, music, sexual health and more. I have also written content for AXS, Made Man, Yahoo, Break and more. I have also created 2 online food magazines, Devour Dayton and Tastes of the Tri-State as well as their companion blogs. I am currently creating regular content for Tastes of the Tri-State and submitting assignments via Text Broker. Along with a steady stream of writing assignments, I have also created numerous graphics for my own publications as well as social media and websites for several local companies.
