Southern California born and raised award-winning filmmaker, writer, and entrepreneur. After working at investment firm Goldman Sachs for 3 years, Alana launched a career in writing, content creation, digital marketing and filmmaking in 2015. Combining her creative, financial, and strategic experience, Alana delivers immersive and powerful content for a variety of mediums and brands.

Alana creates blog articles, ebooks, social media content, copywriting, website design, and video content. She has worked with technology companies, small-to-medium size businesses, entertainment production companies, enterprise software companies, wineries, technology startups, books, and films. A few clients include Grow.com, Flores Family Vineyard, Hurlbut Academy, the Oscar campaign for the film Walk Run Cha-Cha, The Florence Belsky Foundation, Blue Fever, and Lunacy Productions

Alana directed and produced Esfuerzo in 2017, a documentary following the Flores family and their multi-generational passion for winemaking and the American Dream. Esfuerzo won the Audience Award for Best Picture at the 2018 Oceanside International Film Festival, and screened at the Seattle International Film Festival, Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Napa Valley Film Festival, the Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner, the Enfoque Film Festival in Puerto Rico, and the Portland Film Festival. Esfuerzo was also nominated for Best Documentary and Best Short Film at the New York City Web Festival and featured on Univision’s morning show, La Primera Hora.

Alana is currently in post-production on a documentary that addresses sexual assault in religious communities. Fiscally sponsored by Women Make Movies and the Utah Film Center, the film is also backed by executive producers Barbara Dobkin, Katy Drake Bettner and Amy Redford. As a freelance production coordinator for HBO, Alana coordinates talent interviews, behind-the-scenes filming, and red carpet premieres for the following shows: Insecure, VEEP, The 2019 Golden Globes, Sharp Objects, Barry, The Defiant Ones, The Zen Diaries Of Garry Shandling, and Elvis Presley: The Searcher. She consults as Head of Production and Creative Development at Maxico Media/Plastik, and has worked with brands including The Killers, Grow.com, and Blue Fever.
