Thanks for visiting! My name is Allison Rogers, and I look forward to serving your writing projects.
Since I was a child, not a day has gone by that my nose hasn’t been immersed in a book, magazine, or article. I have a deep love for the written word, and this shines through in my work. Whether you need help with writing, editing, or proofreading, I provide the expertise you need to feel confident in publishing your content.
As for my writing expertise, I focus on lifestyle and workplace topics. My key skills lie in what I affectionately call my S3: Sweat, Style, and Self-Improvement.
Sweat – I write about all things fitness and exercise, particularly running. For me however, the term ‘sweat’ is also metaphorical. This means I write about perseverance topics too, such as working hard to accomplish a personal or professional goal, or dealing with stress and deadlines at work.
Style – I research, review, test, and write articles about fashion, skin care, and beauty. I love to give people an honest and tested recommendation. Cutting through the hype and providing trustworthy information is where I excel.
Self-Improvement – I believe humans are born to realize their true potential. I write real-life stories and provide practical strategies to help those who want to improve their lives and skills. I extend this expertise to write about career and workplace success, because I feel strongly that all success has its foundation in personal development. I bring a 20+ year career in a technical field to the table, and I know what it takes to thrive professionally. Beyond writing, I have a passion for editing and proofreading. As George Bernard Shaw said, “The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” I love to help people meet their communication goals by putting myself in the reader’s shoes and carefully reviewing style, organization, grammar, and punctuation.
I deeply value honesty, clear expectations and agreements, and punctuality. If you choose to work with me, I will honor your requirements and your time.
