Alyssa is a writer and web specialist working and living in Washington, DC. During college she became the editor-in-chief of her university newspaper, The Mountain Echo. After graduation she began working as an editorial assistant for Asset International in Stamford, CT, where she wrote, edited and published content daily. She maintained both PLANSPONSOR.com and PLANADVISER.com. She moved to Washington, DC, in 2014 where she began writing for FierceMarkets, focusing on enterprise and drone technology, as well as biotech and pharma.

In 2016, Alyssa began working for a nonprofit, and continued writing on a freelance basis. She has written for multiple publications, including InHerSight.com and Neighborhoods.com. Currently, she writes for NIH MedlinePlus magazine, exploring general health and medicine.

While her main focus is on healthcare and biotech, Alyssa also enjoys writing about women's issues, education, and the workplace.
