Amanda S. Creasey has thirteen years experience in secondary education, teaching English literature and College Composition. She holds a Master's degree in Creative Writing from the University of Denver (2013) and a Bachelor's degree in German with a minor in English from Michigan State University (2006). Her work is published in various publications across multiple genres. She is interested in writing about animals, writing, wellness, and relationships. When she isn't teaching or writing, you can find her running, walking her dogs, volunteering at local animal shelters, and spending as much time outside as possible. She is a member of the James River Writers (JRW), as well as a co-chair of the group's 2019 Writing Show. She is also a member of the Poetry Society of Virginia (PSoV), and a Board member and collegiate writing contest chair for Virginia Outdoor Writers Association (VOWA). Her poetry and journalism have been recognized with awards from both PSoV and VOWA.
