Recent short-term gigs have included writing website content, blog posts and social media posts for a solar-panel installer and a national nonprofit.

I previously served as the director of communications and marketing for a graduate school for six years. In this position, I collaborated with organizational leaders and staff to develop and implement a cohesive, effective brand platform. Also, I led the migration of a 700-page website to WordPress while writing social media posts, e-newsletters and print newsletters. It helps having extensive experience managing multiple projects and vendors simultaneously.

Prior to working in higher education, I served as the executive director for a small non-profit serving the elderly.

Also, I worked for an industry association overseeing public relations and advertising functions. Before that, I was responsible for marketing, event planning, program management, writing, and more at a Fortune 100 company.

I have a B.A. in public relations from Murray State University and an M.A. in public communications from American University. I have qualified for the APR designation.
