I consistently make Google front page if not top three or first place with my copy and articles. And I've built a site to over 3 million unique visitors a year.
Previously working under the last name 'Blundell', I'm a word wizard with 25+ years experience who became an online content expert before everyone else. I think the moment I really realised how much of a mark I'd made in psychology and self development content on the internet was when I was hiring a team of writers and someone sent me an article I had written, trying to pass it off as their own. Oh, the joys of the internet....
I won my first writing award at 14, and have two degrees and several certificates in writing. It paid off - I was a journalist by 23, a funded novelist by 28, then a fully paid screenwriter for a decade. I then cycled back to journalism, but I recognised that print was a sinking ship in advance of everyone else and began studying online content in 2010. I have made a good living with online content for over a decade.
My speciality is psychology and self development - I actually went back to school to be a therapist but after a year fell into writing about psychology and mental health instead.
I've taken the top spot on Google for all sorts of tough to rank terms, such as "Why Can't I Fall in Love" and Fear of Intimacy", had a guide to depression make Google scholar, and the copy I write for clients consistently ranks very high.
I believe content is king, queen, and everything in between. If your content says things in a strong voice and offers your audience what they need, you've made a loyal customer.
I also write fiction, and have published short stories in prestigious literary magazines, with three agents now waiting for my first novel, eek!
