Published Scientist & Master of Science Writer: Medical/Natural Health/Biotech/Fitness

I am a published scientist with a Master of Science in Personalized Nutrition, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology (specialized in the areas of Genetics & Microbiology). I graduated at the top of my Master class and was first in the faculty of Genetic Engineering during my Bachelor studies.

My focus is on a scientifically-backed natural approach to health care, however my combination of education gives me the unique advantage of understanding both holistic and mainstream medical approaches at an advanced level. My scientific research on obesity and microbiota has also been published by the British Association of Nutritional Therapists as the featured article in the April 2016 issue.

I have spent much of my academic and writing career researching the topics of how nutrition and lifestyle factors influence obesity, weight loss and, digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). I am also well versed in numerous other topics involving chronic illness and longevity such as nutritional influences on various cancers, Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, pregnancy, exercise performance, mobility into old age, and much more.

My qualification as a Personal Training Specialist with the Canadian Register of Exercise and Fitness Professionals combined with my nutritional qualifications have added to my research capabilities by providing me with in-person experience to reduce, control, and prevent symptoms of chronic illness, enhance mobility and exercise performance, and improve overall body composition and well-being.

I currently carry memberships with the Royal Society of Medicine and the Institute for Functional Medicine, for which I regularly attend conferences and webinars to keep me up-to-date on the latest nutritional and medical innovations and therapies. Additionally, I have a strong Twitter presence (@factvsfitness) with over 45,000 followers which keeps me engaged with the public and informed about popular topics and ideas for content.

I am able to write in styles ranging from educational pop health blog posts that are easily readable for the layman, technical articles for scientific or health-experienced readers, or high-level scientific research and journal writing. I have also taken several online courses on blog posting to ensure the post is clear and informative, flows appropriately while, most importantly, appealing to the desired audience. All of my articles are highly referenced and 100% backed by scientific evidence. I am also available to do scientific podcasts or video interviews.

Fixed prices are available and negotiated based on the individual task requirements.

Looking forward to working with you!
