Anna Esi Hanson (Anna Hanson-Segbefia) is a graduate of Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi-Ghana. She has over eight years of professional experience in construction management and continues to practice in one of the reputable construction fi rms in the country. Her ardent desire in addressing social issue inspired her into writing. She started out with articles tackling varied social issues and has been widely published in several reputable newspapers and news websites, with a blog and a couple of columns to her credit. She published her first novel, ‘A Way Out’ at the onset of her writing career. Her natural gift and talent for writing steered her further into developing screenplays and has several works to her credit including the multi-award-winning docu-drama, ‘Sink or Swim; The Perilous Journey,’ which won the Overall Best Narrative Feature, and also Best Actress (Ama K Abrebrese) at the Newark International Film Festival, 2017 in Newark-New Jersey.
