Annemarie Mannion

Copy Editor, Copywriter, Editor, Writer

Experienced writer committed to providing superior work and meeting clients' needs

I am a former reporter for the Chicago Tribune and a versatile, established writer whose work has appeared in a variety of other highly regarded publications and websites including Boys' Life, Costco Connection, and Rotarian magazine. During my reporting career, I frequently wrote front-page pieces for the Tribune about such topics as how public libraries accommodate homeless patrons, why American college students are going abroad for college, and the declining number of the Monarch butterfly.

A list of other publications I have written reflects my varied interests. My work has appeared in the American Journal of Nursing, the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Emergency Nurses Association, the Metropolitan Chicago Health Association, Interior Design, and Living Lutheran magazine. In addition to articles and press releases, I am also able to write blogs, white papers and marketing materials.

I like tackling new topics and delving into new fields. Half the fun of writing is doing the research and reporting. I also take deadlines seriously and can turn work around quickly
