Specializing in health blogs and website content with a spin on parenting

Hey, I'm April. I mostly write health blogs about pregnancy, birth and well-woman care. Sometimes I create content for pediatric and parenting websites, too.

I worked in traditional healthcare marketing for several years, and I’ve interviewed hundreds of healthcare professionals, written feature stories and developed website strategies. Pregnancy, birth, postpartum care, breastfeeding, newborn care and pediatrics are my favorite topics.

These days, I have three little people who call me “Mama.” Sometimes I hide from them to drink coffee and/or eat dark chocolate. I am addicted to Diet Dr. Pepper, which my husband makes sure to keep in stock.

I’ve taken my professional and personal life experiences and blended them into a freelance writing business. My copy is concise and compelling, and my work helps clients achieve their goals: More clicks, increased website traffic and higher engagement.

Why hire me?

Because my writing gets results. A parenting piece I wrote went viral and has been shared more than 200,000 times. A women's health blog I created helped my client quadruple her email subscriber list.

I connect with other parents on the health topics that affect them and the tiny humans who call them Mom or Dad. I research thoroughly and write with humility and never any judgment.

Why? Because my parenting philosophy is a sophisticated method I call “whatever works.” I have developed this system after years of reading parenting books that produce mediocre results and struggling with tasks that other moms make look easy.

Let me help you communicate with the people who should be your patients!
