Summary of Experience
A graduate of Wellesley College with a B.A. degree in history and economics, Barbara has 25 years experience working in the financial, real estate and nonprofit fields.
Before launching her freelance copywriting career in 2011, she held executive positions in New York, Philadelphia, Vero Beach and Palm Beach with Bankers Trust, Wilmington Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management and Merrill Lynch.
Barbara also served as a licensed realtor/marketing consultant and as president of a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to the classical performing arts. She has served as a Director on the boards of Hibiscus Children’s Society, McKee Botanical Garden, Astral Foundation and the Humane Society of Vero Beach and Indian River County.
Her extensive corporate background and writing skills enable Barbara to bring a unique perspective to a wide range of writing projects.
She has completed eight courses with American Artists and Writers Inc. (AWAI): Masters Copywriting 3.0, Accelerated Program for 6 Figure Copywriting, B2B Copywriting, Case Studies and White Papers, Financial Copywriting, Video Sales Letters, Website Creation and Internet Research.
She is a member of the Professional Writers' Alliance as well as many professional writers' forums on LinkedIn.

Barbara is passionate about learning and loves to research deeply, tracking down every detail and angle on a great story. A voracious reader with an inquisitive mind, her interests range from global affairs, politics and finance to sports (tennis, golf and equestrian), dogs, real estate, organic food, the environment, classical music, travel, wine and history.
