I am an American journalist with extensive experience reporting in Southeast Asia, most recently serving as bureau chief in Vietnam for Deutsche Presse-Agentur. Bylines also in the Guardian, Foreign Policy, South China Morning Post, Politico, CNN and others. Originally from Maryland, I am currently based in Ukraine where I study Russian.
