Freelance Writer and Blogger with Editing Experience
My name is Carly, and I'm a freelance writer. I am currently an English major with a concentration in creative writing, and during my time as a student I have gained sharp analytical and literary skills. I have excelled in every one of my English and writing courses, and have even been approached by some of my professors to use my writing as samples for their future students. I am also a blogger. I’ve run my blog – Confessions of an Unkempt Mind – for a little over four months. My blog’s focus is on mental health, literature, and lifestyle. I contribute to online magazines such as: Thought Catalog, and A Lust for Life, and will also have one of my articles titled, “What’s on the Surface,” featured in IO Literary Journals inaugural print volume, to be released later this month. My passion is reading and writing, and because of that, I have developed a natural habit of carefully researching, proofreading, and analyzing everything that I write, as well as work that others have written. I also work at a great pace, and have absolutely no problem taking instruction and receiving constructive criticism. My goal is to find a freelance writing position that will allow me to continue to build my skills as a writer and editor, and to lend those skills to companies who are in need of writers for a variety of topics.
