Charlene Mutheu developed an interest in writing and science from a young age.She grew up in a small town popularly known as Kitengela,Nairobi.Having being brought up in a society where expressing one's thoughts and beliefs openly was highly discouraged, she decided she would educate the world better by putting her ideas out there in the best and most respectful way.She was raised by both her parents and being the eldest of three ,she had to step up and be a role model to the rest. She was always very good at numbers,so for her Mathematics was quite easy, she therefore managed to hold several awards in the same. She joined high school and maintained her love for numbers and science as well, four years later she completed her secondary education and scored an A.She later joined university where she is currently studying mechanical engineering but she still desired to educate the public through writing. She believes in empowering the youth, for they are the majority and their input is of great importance. She has been focusing on her studies but once she saw that the youth are engaging in what breaks them instead of building them, she had to be the voice of inspiration. Her passion for teen relationships, religion and fashion is her driving force to bring the youths together through writing. In school, she is a leader, school politics made her grow, boosted her confidence and her communication skills. She also participates in youth research, such as the Columbia Global Centers', youth in a changing world workshop. She believes she can improve human relations and youth empowerment in her home country and the world at large. Her motto is always to think different and go further, but she does not want to achieve that alone.According to her, success is better as a team.
