I spent 14 years as GM of WVES-FM on the Eastern Shore of VA. I wrote all ad copy, produced and recorded station advertising. I wrote all psa's for events I coordinated and hosted/mc'd. Interviewed over 500 NYT authors, actors and various other persons of interest. Achieved the top tier of interviews by receiving high marks from previous guests and even became a requested interviewer.
I spent 12 years as a weekly advice columnist in the Gannett owned Eastern Shore News. I answered questions from readers with a common sense approach to life, romance, child rearing and current events. Wrote special interest pieces on local events or personalities. Wrote the yearly special "Highlight on Business" section that accepted only 8 sponsors per year. Did on-site interviews and wrote article on the business from its beginnings to current.
