I have a B.A. in English, an M.M.F.T in Marriage and Family Therapy (Psychology) and a Ph.D. in Family Psychology. I am currently a medical, health & wellness contributor, copywriter and psychological consultant for Livestrong magazine and Disorders.org.
I also have a wealth of experience writing and editing medical, health & wellness, dating, marriage, love and psychological articles for a variety of popular magazines, newspapers and websites. I was also the Medical Review editor for CIGNA, a health insurance company, for 3 years.
I have been fortunate to be able to write and edit articles for a major company, magazines, websites and online websites. All together I have approximately 10 years of writing, editing & proofreading experience in a variety of formats.
I developed, edited and proofread the Medical Review website articles and wrote and edited the CIGNA weekly newsletter. In addition, I have been writing for a mainstream magazine, LiveStrong, for the past three years. I was also the editor-in-chief of a university literary magazine for 4 years.
I taught English Composition at a local college before publishing my first psychological study on the long-term effects of sexual abuse on the adult female. I currently tutor elementary school children in the areas of reading, writing and English grammar and literature.
In addition, I have a tremendous amount of experience counseling families, couples, individuals and children on adjustment issues such as: blended families, same-sex couples, dysfunctional family relationships, relationship issues, etc.
