Writing the Right, Righting the Writ

Fashion was my life for 20+ years--that is Elizabethan renaissance fashion. I worked as a volunteer "court" performer at several renaissance festivals in the US and owned my own renaissance costuming business for a number of years. I produced a newsletter periodically, published under "ladydarcien" on Scribd.com.

I then turned my industry to teaching others to brew beer, wine, cider, and, my favorite, mead when we opened our brew supply store in Oklahoma. We closed our doors to move to Arizona for a job opportunity offered to my husband.

I focused my attention on proofreading and writing and took up cell phone photography. My photography portfolio can be found at https://www.viewbug.com/member/Darcien1 . My current blog focuses on the lessons I have learned about taking quality photos with my cell phone and can be found at https://confessionsphoto.weebly.com/ .

Scribophile

Scribophile.com is a place where writers can post portions (or all) of their manuscripts to get feedback. My critiques of others' works are available for viewing on my profile under the pen name Taryn Thomas; and they demonstrate my ability to check for continuity, analyze, and perform light proofreading. In addition, my current works are also being posted as I am ready for initial responses.

WRR Contest Submission 2005.pdf

In the early 2000s, Harlequin Romance hosted various writing contests. I entered this selection as a chapter 2 in a Writing Round Robin. The first chapter was written by a published author and the subsequent five chapters were to be selected from contest submissions. This one was not chosen at that time.
