Award-winning journalist and editor with a knack for explaining complex subjects, especially law, business and politics.
I began my writing career as a journalist (combat correspondent) in the Marine Corps. I served eight years as a writer and editor for four separate publications. In 1992, I received the Thomas Jefferson Award for Excellence in Journalism. I also received a number of other awards for writing and editing.
From 2001-2004, I wrote software reviews for Law Office Computing Magazine. I've also written for the ABA Journal and other legal publications. I co-authored "Business Succession Planning for California Attorneys," which was published by CEB, a joint venture of the California Bar and the University of California.
I know how to shape my content and my voice to fit the purpose and intended audience. I also have Digital Marketer certifications in copywriting and SEO, meaning I can write compelling copy that performs well on the search engines.
