Freelance Writer/Editor/Virtual Assistant

I have worked as a freelance writer and editor on a varying part-time and full-time basis for the past four years. I am especially skilled in editing and proofreading documents for accuracy, clarity, and flow. As a single mother, I enjoy the flexibility of working from home. As someone who is passionate about writing, I am grateful to work in a profession that allows me to support myself and do something that I love.

I have worked with a wide range of projects. I have edited fiction and non-fiction books. I have worked with small business owners to create website content, email blasts, newsletters, and other marketing materials. I especially enjoy helping job seekers hone their resumes and cover letters so they can get noticed by the right employers.

I love that freelance writing allows me to work within a wide range of industries. I am constantly researching and learning new things that I wouldn't otherwise encounter. I am especially interested in the health industry, particularly behavioral health. I am familiar with the diagnostic criteria for mental health disorders and have previously worked with people with mental health issues ranging from mild depression to severe psychosis.

My work provides me with flexibility and the satisfaction of helping other business owners reach their goals. I'm excited to see what else the future holds.
