Dr. Amjad Ali Bhatti

Dr. Amjad Ali Bhatti is a distinguished author, scholar, critic and translator who has made pronounced contribution to the corpus of Punjabi, Urdu and English literature. He stands prominent among his peers by virtue of extensive research and literary expositions published in prestigious journals at home and abroad. He is a versatile and prolific writer whose more than 103 publications (49 books and 54 research papers/articles/essays) cover a wide range of creative writings, literary criticism and translations from English, Gurmukhi & Hindi to Urdu & Punjabi. His knowledge of foreign languages/scripts, especially Gurmukhi has enriched his research and broadened the scope of his writings. Humanism, Human Rights and Punjabi Literature are his forte, especially the Sufi literature and its message of world peace and interfaith harmony which finds a powerful manifestation in his work.
