My primary experience is in marketing copywriting, corporate communications, internal communications, web content creation, and social media content creation, as well as creative and academic writing. I have a Master's degree in Creative Writing, where I received a 4.0 GPA, Dean's List recognition, and was a member of several honor societies. My work has been published in several journals, including a business article that was the cover story of the print and digital edition of Retail Merchandiser magazine (January 2017).
My current position is with the Visionworks Inc. Marketing Department, as the head copywriter, corporate language and communications specialist, and proofreader. In this capacity I provide any and all language needs for the company, including but not limited to the marketing department. This includes both print and digital content, spanning website content creation, newsletters, press releases, email, and social media content, and catalog content, such as product descriptions, doctor biographies, print ads, media scripts, and special projects such as articles for business publications, annual reports to shareholders and board members, and other needed communications.
Outside of the office, I am an Executive Board Member of the Alamo Business Council. My freelance experience is primarily in academic research writing and college paper editing, as well as web production and articles for blogs and journals. Honestly there is no type of writing I have not had experience in.
