The other day I was chatting with a friend about writers, and for some reason we started talking about "child prodigies." At some point, I remembered that somewhere I had read that Mozart had composed his first symphony at the age of eight and I mentioned it to my friend (although it was a bit off topic).
He stared at me with wide eyes for a second and he referred to saying: “It can't be, I just can't believe you. I refuse ”. We quickly checked with Google that it was indeed true: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart wrote his first symphony at the age of eight.
I bring this up because, after the revelation, my friend was thoughtful and told me: “I don't understand how, I thought that artists became good thanks to what they experienced in their lives”.
