Your Message, Told Your Way.

Frances J. Trelease is a college lecturer, public speaker and business owner. For the past 20 years, Trelease has been leading workshops for business groups across the tri-state area.

Through an agency she founded in 2013, Boomer Den, LLC, Trelease speaks on ways to “conquer the generational divide” that exists when multiple generations work side by side. She speaks to baby boomers and Gen Xer’s on ways to explore encore careers, and stay relevant in a changing hiring landscape.

Trelease is equally comfortable speaking to job seekers and corporate titans. A former journalist and bureau chief with the Citizen News newspaper, a contributing feature writer for the New York Times, a staff writer for Gannett Newspapers, and a corporate communications editor for U.S. Tobacco, she also speaks to groups on the need for clear business writing. Her lively, practical workshops address current writing challenges and issues.

Trelease has received an Award of Excellence in Writing from APEX (Awards for Publication Excellence), and a Recognition and Appreciation award from the School of Continuing & Professional Studies at the University of Bridgeport.

She has appeared on Fox61 TV in Hartford, public access television stations WHPX WPXQ in New London, and WPAA TV in Wallingford. Her published pieces have appeared on CT By The Numbers, www.ctbythenumbers.news, and on her blog site: https://boomerden.com/wordpress.

She has led classes and workshops for clients including MediaBistro in New York City, CU Conferences, ESPN, Department of Administrative Services, UConn Business Program, American Marketing Association, and the Connecticut State College System. She also teaches college classes on public speaking and oral presentation, business writing “best practices”, and marketing principles.

Workshop attendees describe Trelease as a “catalyst” for learning, professional and sincere. She weaves humor and anecdotes in with her lessons, and creates practical hands-on exercises to engage and enlighten.

She received her bachelor of arts degree in psychology and journalism from The University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT, and her master’s in business administration (MBA) from the University of Connecticut in Stamford. She has two adult children, and lives in New Haven County with her husband.
