Versatile senior-level writer with extensive experience in filmmaking and education. | Kid lit & dogs, also.
I am presently Senior Writer at NeoMam Studios, a UK-based international marketing agency producing mouthwatering/mind-blowing creative content. I take on interesting freelance work when available. Topics include film/video, kid stuff, design, and further education. And dogs. I love to write about dogs.
Clients value my skills in adapting my voice for various industries and contexts, working quickly to deadlines, and providing accurate, internet-ready prose. I'm easy-going but hard-working. I apply humour and original thought to every task. My goals are to inspire and learn, to innovate and collaborate.
I have twenty years experience as a filmmaker and film festival addict. I've worked as a festival programmer and prize jury member and delivered filmmaking workshops and resources. I gained my filmmaking MFA at Béla Tarr's film.factory, studying with the world's greatest living film directors, actors, and critics (inc. Gus Van Sant, Juliette Binoche, Jonathan Rosenbaum), and developing close friendships with the next generation of baffling art-house auteurs. I write a weekly filmmaking newsletter that is read by hundreds of filmmakers, festival programmers, and other industry professionals.
I have filmmaking colleagues around the world, and travel frequently between London, Warsaw, Oslo, and Sarajevo. I'm a native English speaker, parent to a wild and wonderful toddler, and my fridge is full of unprocessed Super 8mm film stock.
