Amazon Copywriter - Listing Optimization & EBC Specialist
This slide shows the instant impact of a fully optimized listing. The product has a long history on Amazon without much success. When you view the bottom section of the slide you will discover that in one-month sales have increased tenfold, and for the same period last year there were no sales.
Here is evidence of long-term success. The listing that I wrote was added in December 2017. The tall red line at the end of that year shows the supplement product struggling to make sales. The lower the red line, the higher the ranking. This $16 product is selling over 800 units every month.

Here is the first of two types of copy for the same customer. This Amazon seller wanted a fun style description and he really liked the style of selling directly to the cat - which I ended up doing for all of his cat toy products. This listing already has over 1,500 reviews on Amazon. I know how to get around 8 x the number of keywords into an EBC listing than 99.9% of competitors.
This is a more technical style of writing which my client requested. This particular product has over 6,500 reviews and sells 6 figures of revenue every month.

The client was launching (Autumn 2018) a special water filter pitcher in US, UK & EU and needed everything organizing including translations. The product is 2-3 times the cost of regular water filters so I was tasked to get across the benefits and features of how this is better. I chose orange text to help the Add to Cart and Buy Now buttons pop out more - it is often the micro-aspects of a listing that add up to create meaningful differentiation.

Here is an example of an EBC Header that we did and translated into the following languages (in order of upper left to lower right): American English - Amazon.com British English - Amazon.co.uk German - Amazon.de French - Amazon.fr Italian - Amazon.it Spanish - Amazon.es Our translators are all native speakers of their respective languages. We do not use translation software but real people!
This client experience no sales. Within 8 weeks of improving their images and copy they were selling 50-60 units a month and growing. Their BSR went from over 3.5M to 130k and their category ranking went from 1,209 to 56 in this time.
While there is nothing wrong with the image on the left, we wanted to elevate this product to be more aspirational, and about modern healthy living without being too homely. We chose our model Sandra for this Spanish manufacturer.
This product had begun to lose ground against heavy competition. We had written the original content 12 months before and ran some indexing and ranking tests to discover better keywords to beat other sellers. The product began to recover sales within 2 weeks. The reason these images are are to demonstrate some subtle points that can add up together to make or break a sale: Top Left Image - has no graphic design so it is left up to the shopper to decide why it is there. We added two simple points that made this more than just a cute baby picture. It gets the points across at a glance. The bottom left picture has too much information and it is difficult for the eye to pick out the main points quickly when skim-reading (which is what people generally do). We added key titles that can be read quickly, backed with supporting images and on a nice green background, to create differentiation from all the other sellers who are showing images almost identical to the ones on the left.
This client has been selling for around 30 years and wanted a fresh new look for their products while being different than other sellers. We also created EBC content, managed their Vendor Central account and created their Storefront.
