Heidi Segal

While a member of the US Air Force, I performed research, analysis, and reporting on assigned military targets around the world. I have over 30 years of US defense contractor experience in IT and analytic services as a program manager; business developer and capture manager; research and development principal; and proposal manager, developer, writer, and editor.

I transitioned my skills to the film and TV production industry in early 2016 and learned both filmmaking and producing at the New York Film Academy. As a development producer, I break down scripts and develop production schedules and detailed budgets in the industry-standard Movie Magic software suite. I also develop feature film business plans and TV series pitch decks. These plans include market research and analysis which results in sales estimates, income projections, financing strategy, and marketing and distribution strategy based on the market analysis.

I have some experience in script writing, editing, and polishing in Adobe Story, Celtix, and Final Cut Pro. I am also experienced in producing, directing, and shooting scripted and unscripted projects and have a highly-skilled production team and equipment available for video projects. My team and I can edit video footage, perform sound design, and incorporate music in Adobe Premier Pro.

I am highly-skilled in MS Word, building complex financial/analysis models in MS Excel, and creating presentations in MS PowerPoint.
