I am a Ph.D. level biologist with a passion for research development, project management, as well as science writing and communication. My past and present research experiences have focused on determining how protein synthesis is regulated and coordinated in healthy cells, and how this process can go awry in cancer and viral infection.
I thrive by juggling multiple roles and responsibilities to better myself professionally. In addition to my research, I am an avid science communicator and writer. I have served as a scientific consultant for local start-ups, as well as an NIH SBIR grant writer and manuscript writer. I have led 10+ scientific outreach initiatives and mentored numerous young scientists. I manage all of my projects through my passion for organization and goal-oriented planning. My ideal position is writing, communicating, and managing at the interface of science and business.
