Excellent writing backed with solid research skills

I am a freelance writer with many years of experience in academic research and writing. One of my strengths is my ability to pull research together in a way that is very readable and understandable. I have enjoyed learning new things throughout my masters and doctoral (Ph.D.) studies which has allowed me to hone my writing skills. The most familiar writing territory for me is in producing articles, case studies, presentations, and white papers. I have presented papers at several scholarly meetings and almost all of those have gone to publication either in an academic journal or as book chapter in a collection of works. I have also had the privilege to serve as associate editor for an online blog for one of the academic societies I belong to. Most recently I have signed a contract with a publisher for my first book!

My experience outside of academia includes pastoral care, chaplaincy in the corporate, health care and elder care environments, and teaching at the graduate level. Before I began my academic and pastoral career, I spent 10+ years working in the building and design industry. The majority of my experience is in interior and architectural design and drafting so I am very knowledgable construction plans and interior finishes. More recently I have researched and written articles for a client focused on electrical energy choice for homeowners as well as green energy options.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, creative arts, and relaxing on the deck or by the ocean. I live in South Central PA with my husband and our rescued boxer dog.
