Jean McKinney

I'm a longtime freelance writer specializing in authoritative, informational long form content in areas of science, digital and computer technology, and medicine. My background combines sciences, linguistics, and journalism with professional experience in teaching college writing and several years of work in crisis mental health services and nursing education. I hold professional certificates in digital design, web design and webpage building, and I've studied science journalism with the Poynter Institute and the World Federation of Science Journalists.

I live in the legendary borderlands of Southern Arizona, home of some of the world's leading institutions for astronomy, optics and space science - including my alma mater, the University of Arizona.
