Whether I write with a pen or tap on a keyboard, I stick to the principles that my writing must be clear to readers, concise and not rambling so they understand the point with the least effort. I also believe in accurate, plagiarism free work that is engaging right away.
I developed these personal writing standards as a journalist, editor, writing teacher, curriculum developer, trainer, and instructional designer. I am a wordsmith with a Master's in English and a key eye for that misplaced modifier that would make the work silly. I have a business degree so know we both need to eat and I taught every grade k through college so am a lifelong learner.
