Copy Editor, Copywriter, Editor, Ghostwriter, Writer

An academic, a journalist, an editor and proofreader - in short, a vigorous proponent of the written word.

I'm a freelance writer, editor and proofreader, with interests in media, entertainment, technology and academic writing. Having completed a PhD at the University of Warwick, I spent a decade or so lecturing in English Literature, publishing a book and several articles on modern and contemporary fiction along the way. I've also worked as a freelance journalist over the years, producing features, articles and reviews relating to music, film, theatre, travel, restaurants and hotels, and books, among other things. My years of marking and critiquing academic work led me down the editing and proofreading path, and I'm currently setting up a business in that field. Writing is a passion of mine, though, and I'm always open to taking on projects in my areas of interest.
