I'm John M. Dabbs, II. A Freelance Writer and Consultant from the foothills of Tennessee Valley. By day, I'm a mild-mannered regulatory official for the Tennessee Department of Health, as an Investigator and EMS Consultant - a job I've had for over 20 years. Did I mention I'm a paramedic? I was in the first paramedic class in our area, and have been licensed as a paramedic for over 30 years.
On the side, I've obtained my financial services licenses to be a broker-dealer's registered representative (think stockbroker) with a series 6 and 63 licenses. That means I deal with retirement products mostly - IRAs, Roth IRAs, Education savings accounts... most all in mutual funds of equities and bonds.
I'm an accomplished author and photographer, with published works on Amazon, NationalGeographic.com, JEMS, and EMS World magazine.
I'm married and a father of three (one being a stepson), and help my wife and one son with a food-truck during my spare time, in addition to remodeling the house, helping on the farm when I can and working as a freelancer and consultant.
