Freelance Writer Specializing in News and Legal Writing
I’ve been freelance writing for five years. I've composed blogs, essays, research pieces, and SEO content on a wide range of topics. While I’ve enjoyed the variety of work I’ve had the honor to work on, I’m especially fond of news assignments and legal writing. I was a paralegal for nearly twenty years and hold a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and a paralegal certificate. I also wrote articles for the now defunct CDA News and am the political writer for Main Course Magazine PHL. As well, I write fiction and am currently working on a novel, which I hope to finish soon.
To reiterate, I was a paralegal for nearly twenty years and worked for several prestigious law firms in the Philadelphia area. I developed a chronic health condition, and, well, my employers thought it best that I seek work elsewhere. I always dreamed of writing professionally, so I consider the situation fate. My years in the legal profession taught me how to take direction and criticism, work under pressure, multitask, conduct research, pay close attention to detail, prioritize my workload, and adhere to strict deadlines. As I’m sure you know, one won’t last long in the legal field without such skills.
