I am a published freelance writer with seventeen years of professional writing experience including numerous published feature and news articles and one book: I'm Not Your Kid: A Christian's Guide to a Healthy Stepfamily (Baker Books, 2004).

In 2017 I completed the American Writers & Artists, Inc.'s copywriting training program, "Accelerated Program for Six-Figure Copy-writing," and have been verified by AWAI for Direct Mail, Online Ad Copywriting, and Editorial Content writing.

I earned a Master of Arts in Communication from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2001- the catalyst for setting me on the writing path! Since that time I have not stopped writing--either writing freelance articles for some Christian publications, or writing as a part of my day job--grants, curriculum, scripts, promotional pieces, newsletters, instructional guides, brochures, web sites, fliers, posters, business letters and outreach emails, among other things!

My vision:
To devote my professional and community service efforts to helping companies and organizations pursue their visions!

My values:
Honoring God in my business practices
Truthfulness and integrity
Customer satisfaction-that your vision is effectively communicated
Promoting small businesses and non-profit organizations

My employment background includes:
7+ years in higher education as a career and academic advisor,
9 years directing children's and women's ministry programs on a church staff,
20 years in corporate accounting.

Married to Carl since 1989, we live the small-town country life
in the beautiful Arkansas Ozarks community of Mountain View.
