Ted Gartner

Ted Gartner is the owner of On Point Media, LLC, a multi-platform marketing, public relations, media and content production agency. On Point specializes in creating compelling and educational materials for the outdoors, particularly as it pertains to the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and sporting dogs.

Previously, Ted was Director of Corporate Communications for Garmin International, based in Olathe, Kansas. In that capacity, he and his team were responsible for interacting with the media and public concerning Garmin’s corporate business and its many varied product lines. Ted was instrumental in defining Garmin’s corporate message for the company’s global subsidiaries, and also developed proactive plans to launch new products and services through traditional and digital media.

A Garmin associate since 2003, Ted was an instrumental member of the team that developed the world’s first GPS tracking device for dogs, the Garmin Astro, in 2007. He has appeared frequently on outdoor TV programs, including Americana Outdoors Presented by Garmin, Yamaha Whitetail Diaries, and G3 Sportsman.

Ted has served as a board officer with the Partnership for Electronic Training Technology (PETT). He is an NRA-certified shotgun instructor and is a member of numerous conservation and hunting advocacy organizations. Born in Topeka Kansas, Ted is currently a resident of Wimberley, Texas where he resides on five acres of Hill Country with his wife and two bird dogs.
