Kristin Wilson is a writer, speaker, content creator and professional digital nomad who has traveled to 60 countries in 15 years. As the owner of a remote relocation company, she has helped over 1,000 remote workers and expats relocate worldwide.
Part entrepreneur, part thought leader, and part futurist, her new mission is to bring the remote work revolution into mainstream consciousness – helping organizations and individuals alike take advantage of this unprecedented time in human history.
While studying for her MBA in 2005, a sudden health crisis prompted Kristin to reconsider her future. Instead of taking a high-stress job in Corporate America, she decided to move to Costa Rica upon graduating from business school.
After a successful career in real estate, Kristin recognized a unique business opportunity in the online gambling space. This insight led to the creation of the first and only relocation company for professional poker players and sports bettors, which she launched alongside the two largest online poker forums in the world.
Today, Poker Refugees still operates as a fully-distributed company. But Kristin has begun a second career dedicated to helping people achieve location independence.
Kristin documents the digital nomad lifestyle on her travel blog and YouTube channel, Traveling with Kristin, and moderates a Facebook Group with nearly 2,000 aspiring remote workers, entrepreneurs, and freelancers.
Kristin is a Top Writer on Quora in the topics of travel, digital nomadism, and location independence. She’s also a contributor to publications such as The Startup, Side Hustle, and Noteworthy on Medium. Kristin has been featured in Bloomberg Businessweek, ESPN, The New York Times, Huffpost, HGTV’s House Hunters International, and more.
