From interviewing some of the biggest names in entertainment to balancing the fast-paced world of tech start-ups, Maggie Grainger’s career has been colorful from day one. She enjoys taking on diverse and challenging projects head-on and seeing where they take her both professionally and personally. She brings her versatile background, outgoing attitude, and collaborative approach to anything she takes on.
As the former senior copywriter and script supervisor at Rodan + Fields, Maggie was able to see her creative content in print as well as on-screen. As a copy lead for the No. 1 premium skincare company in the United States, she continued to elevate the brand by working closely with cross-functional teams. As the sole script supervisor, she oversaw all scripts from inception to final edits, collaborating with partners closely to produce highly developed storyboards and video concepts.
Before moving to the Bay Area, Maggie was the senior staff writer for iconic teen magazines, Tiger Beat and BOP, in Los Angeles for several years. It was an amazing gig, allowing her to cover everything from red carpet premieres to exclusive photo shoots with teen talent ranging from Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez to the Jonas Brothers. There she was able to hone her ability to think quickly on her feet and adapt to any style and situation. Over her 18-plus year career, she has worked for a variety of start-ups and major corporations including Plum District, BabyCenter, Tiny Prints, and Wireless Flash News. Maggie also continues to freelance for a variety of publications and two of her essays were featured in the book, U Chic’s Diploma Diaries: The Chic Grad’s Guide to Work, Love, and Everything In Between.
She is also a skilled transcriber, having lent her talents to the best-selling memoir, The Girl Who Smiled Beads by Clemantine Wamariya and Elizabeth Weil.
In her free time, Maggie loves cooking up dinners with her boyfriend, camping out in the wilderness, learning new board games, going to the library, writing short stories, sharing a solid cheese plate with friends and listening to records, and dancing around her house.
