Feature articles and editorials for equestrian, agricultural, and general interest publications
I have been a freelance writer/journalist/author for over 45 years and have been published by newspapers and magazines across Canada. For fourteen years I wrote a weekly current affairs column for the Chilliwack Progress and for seven years wrote a weekly equestrian column for a variety of Fraser Valley newspapers. My feature articles are published in every issue of Canadian Horse Journals and I have a regular editorial page in Country Life in B.C. I have written five books with two more in progress and have received five national awards for my work, the most recent being a top award for my article "Ghosts in the Coal Mines" published by Canadian Horse Journals and presented at the American Horse Publications Convention in Maryland, June 2018. I produce multimedia talks on a variety of topics to seniors in residential facilities. I offer writing courses at Elder College, University of the Fraser Valley and provide editorial services to writers.
