Melanie Anderson

Editor, Ghostwriter, Writer

Freelance writer + editor

I approach my writing with a reporter’s curiosity, an editor’s eye for detail, and a songwriter’s sense of story and rhythm. Whether the assignment is an in-depth feature, a profile or a press release, I enjoy working with clients to create authentic and engaging content.

My work has been published by East Bay Regional Parks Foundation, Western Health Advantage, Ochsner Health System, AMITA Health, Dignity Health Dominican Hospital, John Muir Health and other healthcare brands, as well as outlets including Beverly Hills Weekly, Lafayette Today and Lamorinda Sun.

In addition to writing about health and wellness, I edit, design and manage production of the Beverly Hills High School Alumni Association’s annual magazine. I developed an interest in government affairs while covering City Hall, public schools and community news as a staff reporter at Beverly Hills Weekly.

Away from my desk, I enjoy making music, exploring my backyard—the Santa Monica Mountains—and road tripping throughout the West.
