Michael Franco

Copywriter, Writer, Editor

I've written it all, but lately I've been specializing in science, geek culture & consumer tech. I have a knack for making the complicated simple.

I’ve written direct marketing packages for Reader’s Digest, Consumer Reports, American Express and other major brands in the United States; launched and managed magazines in Singapore (and run an in-house content production agency); and I've helped Lime & Tonic, an innovative global travel startup, develop their brand’s voice in Prague through their website and weekly email campaigns. I've created direct marketing websites for Hearst; written advertorials for National Geographic; and penned editorial content for a wide range of magazines.

My diverse experience enables me to write everything from blogs to brochures in the ideal voice for the task. I’m equally comfortable writing marketing and promotion copy as I am penning advertorial and editorial pieces.

Recently I have worked remotely with teams around the world and across the country both as a contributing writer to CNET, the science editor for New Atlas, and a software reviewer for Softonic, one of Spain's major players in the tech space.

I'm hoping that my mix of marketing and editorial experience, my global perspective, and my proven record of working with remote teams across continents appeals to you. I'd be happy to hop on a call to discuss my experience further. Or, please spend a little time looking around my website to get an idea of the range of my work and the diversity of styles in which I can write: http://www.copywritermike.com. It contains over 200 samples of my work.
