Most days, I work as a writer and editor for a number of clients and companies. I also have enduring relationships with companies in London in film production, with independent artists, and with marketing companies in places as diverse as Bucharest and Austin, Texas. After six years of writing and editing, I decided to turn this experience to copywriting and copyediting, making use of my love of a good story to see the narrative in what might otherwise be overlooked. I also maintain my own practice writing essays and stories.
I love new ideas and new stories, and I've managed to come across some great ones in my work and my travels across three continents. I can spend hours picking apart the implications of a single word in a sentence or phrase (I've written an essay on the difference between "in the street" and "on the street," for example), but can just as easily turn that sharp grammatical gaze to my own writing and to editing, ensuring that every detail says what it needs to mean.
My areas of expertise include narrativization (by which I mean finding the story in even the dryest of data), copywriting, SEO, editing, art and cultural topics like film and literature, content marketing, digital media, blogging, and technological trends and implications.
I write clear, economical stories that capture the spirit of ideas and objects, and edit passages to have those same qualities, so that you know that your work is perfectly described, helping customers and partners feel engaged and involved in what you do.
Everyone and everything has a story that deserves to be told, no matter how large or small it may seem. My passion and my strength are one and the same: finding the story in anything and telling it well.
