Originally from Portland, Oregon, Nate attended Western Kentucky University (Mahurin Honors College) where he majored in broadcasting and theater. Before graduating in 2013, he traveled internationally for multiple study abroad programs in England, New Zealand, and Turkey. Nate couldn't help but continue his professional endeavors overseas, and he carried out freelance documentary video and photography projects in Istanbul while working part-time at a hip hostel near the Marmara Sea. In 2014, he successfully merged two of his passions, aviation and traveling, by joining Qatar Airways' elite team of 5-star cabin crew. For over four years, Nate traversed the globe and developed a keen interest in beautifully capturing landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, and nature on camera while on layovers and vacations. He also served as a public speaker, voice-over artist, online presenter, and global "Brand Ambassador" for Qatar Airways in marketing campaigns, corporate events, and conventions.
With fond memories and tremendous gratefulness, Nate said goodbye to the world of commercial aviation at the end of 2018 in order to spend more time on travel photography and freelance media production. Recently, Nate has expanded his online photography portfolios, which collectively feature over 2,000 images. His photographic work has been featured on numerous global platforms including CNN, Lonely Planet, Reader's Digest, USA Today, MSN, and Yahoo.
Today, Nate lives in Clark, Philippines; now, as ever before, he's excited to take on fresh international adventures, capturing his journey and the vast beauty of the planet visually each step of the way.
