Hi there! I guess you've stumbled across my bio. While you're here, I guess I'll take the opportunity to waste you time a little by providing you with a little bit of information about who I am and what I'm about.
I'm your average 20 year old South African girl/female/young woman (just came out my teens, not quite sure what I can call myself, let's just go with all the above) who will put a lot of effort into whatever she gets given because she wants to get the best results from it. At the moment, I'm completing my final year in my bachelor of commerce Digital Marketing degree. When I'm not diligently paying attention in class, I'm a freelance academic writer. While academic writing wasn't exactly what I'd pictured doing as a "side hustle" of sorts, I did it because, well I love writing. Academic writing (although it can be a tad bit dry) is better than no writing I suppose. Plus I've been doing it for about a year now and I'd like a bit of a change...
The reason why I'm here is because I believe that the freelancing (especially online), is one of the coolest things that have ever happened to mankind. The fact that I can be sitting at home in my jammies or at my local Starbucks drinking whatever it is I drink at Starbucks whilst I do some serious work from people who live in different places is pretty interesting. I'm hoping that I can use freelancing to develop myself and my skills and also build relationships with people who think differently and can inspire me to work better. I don't have much experience, but am an extremely hard worker, I admit I put a lot of pressure on myself because I don't want to embarrass myself (who does?) but it helps me get the job done.
