I am a writer, photographer, editor, copywriter and publisher who is in love with stories that portray the human experience. I spent the first chunk of my career as a journalist as a staff reporter at the Daily Herald and later helped launch DNAinfo Chicago where I was a multimedia journalist covering diverse neighborhoods including Logan Square and Humboldt Park. I am a skilled copywriter and am a master in the art of marketing through words and stories. My extensive experience working in real-world newsrooms covering stories ranging from political exposes to features on toy collectors is something that sets me and will set your project apart from the rest. I was part of the opening team of a Michelin-rated restaurant in Chicago and created the website, crafted all marketing and public relations materials and grew and managed all social media accounts. I am currently living in Mexico City editing and publishing a book about mezcal and agave spirits that is slated for a fall 2018 release. I’m a Chicago native and have deep connections and sources in both Chicago and Mexico City and am open to freelance projects in both cities.
