Senior copywriter with two decades' experience and a passion for great work.

I started my career as a newspaper reporter, evolved — some would say devolved — into humor writing for Hallmark Cards, then somehow found my way to copywriting. I’ve been plying this trade since 2000, the first seven years at a marketing agency and since then as a freelancer. It's gone swimmingly.

Among my clients past and present: SAP, Johnson & Johnson, Google, Amgen, Quest Diagnostics, Harvard University, Boston Scientific, Medtronic and many others.

I have a crisp, unadorned style that you don't often see in healthcare and technology marketing, where the writing is usually gunked up with lots of jargon and needless complexity. I also do a great job adapting difficult material for a lay audience.

I'm fun, irreverent, easy to work with and hard to rattle. I have thick skin and — rare for us creative types — I've never been called a prima donna. At least not to my face.
