Experienced Writer, Clinical Mental Health Counselor

I am a clinical mental health counselor interested in writing about mental health issues including the value of therapy and daily tips on mental health wellness for everyone. I study play therapy techniques and enjoy writing about the value of play therapy. I am a member of the Association of Play Therapy, a National Board Certified Counselor and a member of the Alabama Counseling Association. I am a graduate of Capella University and hold a degree with distinction which is a Masters of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have served as a therapist in the LGBTQ community and for clients who were victims of crime.

I enjoyed taking on line courses at Capella University and would love to contribute articles or posts regarding the value of on line learning.

I am also a resident of a rural area and would love to contribute articles and posts about life in rural America.

I am a life long cat owner. I truly love cats and would enjoy contributing articles and posts about feline ownership in general.

I owned a local catering business several years ago and held a food safe serve certification for many years. I am interested in writing articles and posts about the catering or restaurant industry and food safety.

I have ten years of experience as a freelancer writer for local publications including Shoals Woman Magazine, Shoals Magazine, The Times Daily, the Decatur Daily and Explore the Shoals Magazine.
