Wordsmith in search of engaging and creative freelance work.
Everyone needs an editor (even editors). I work to elevate the writing of others. My role is to ensure that what someone else has written is not only free of errors but also translates well to the intended audience while retaining the writer's voice and vision. I serve as a second set of eyes for the writer as well as a surrogate set of eyes for the reader. These skills aren’t easily replicated by spell check in Microsoft Word.
I have extensive experience in The AP Stylebook and The Chicago Manual of Style but adapt to new and client style guides quickly.
I most recently worked as a senior editor at Reingold, a communications and marketing firm.
Before that, I worked as a freelance copy editor and contributor at Healthy Aging Magazine, a copy editor at Angel Publishing, and a communications coordinator at a marketing firm called Creosote Affects. I've interned as an editorial assistant at Drama Around the Globe, an online collection of theater-related media. Before that, I interned as an editorial assistant at Healthy Aging Magazine.
I graduated from West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a BA in English writing.
