Specializing in Nature & Travel Destination Marketing

I’m Dianne Milliard, a seasonal park ranger, working in Wrangell-St. Elias, Denali, and Death Valley National Parks. I have really enjoyed my time with the Park Service, helping visitors understand why our special places are so special and helping to inspire them to love and care for them.
I want to continue to do that, but I need to reach a wider audience. I’m looking for rewarding and creative work that allows me to share my love of our natural places with others.
I’ve worn many hats over the years in addition to rangering. I’ve been a tour guide – The 2000 Lonely Planet Guide to Alaska mentioned me by name as THE person to tour the Kennecott National Historic Landmark with. I’ve been a museum caretaker. I’ve been co-owner of an artist’s co-op. I have worked in nearly every aspect of the tourism business, in places as far-flung as the Florida Keys to the Colorado Rockies to Hawaii. One of the most rewarding projects I’ve ever done was running my own photography business, Wrangell Mountain Scenics. I marketed notecards, postcards, and prints of Wrangell-St. Elias National Park.
I live in McCarthy, Alaska, a tiny community deep in the heart of the Wrangells. There are too many beautiful places in the world to spend ALL your life in just one though, so I’m traveling, learning about and getting to know other landscapes, too.
