I'm a Texan living in Missouri after stops in Iowa and Tennessee. I've spent my professional life writing about something. I was a newspaper reporter where I told the stories of life in a small Texas city. As a policy analyst with the Texas Legislature, I wrote policy papers on education issues. I moved onto fundraising for universities and nonprofits when I realized that public funds make organizations good but private funds make them great.
I love telling stories that help organizations bring their missions and purposes to live. Through the years, I've written newspaper stories, magazine articles, newsletters, web articles, policy analysis, proposals, marketing materials, obituaries, constituent correspondence, grant requests, solicitation letters, blogs, and some other pieces I've long forgotten.
I am the wife of a college football coach, which explains why I've lived in multiple states and multiple towns within those states. I am a mother of two "only" children, an 18-year-old son and a 9-year-old daughter. They love each other very much but their paths don't cross that often.
